Are you a Luddite? Without using Google or Chatgpt…do you know what it means when you are referred to as a Luddite?
You may very well be one.
Thom and I discuss AI in terms of what it means for humanity going forward.
I tell the story about the Luddites which were a group of people following a guy named Ned Ludd during the industrial revolution.
Lud along with his followers were destroying sewing machines so “save” the jobs of humans. These people were worried that their services were not needed anymore and that is how they dealt with it.
Whether you are scared or hate the idea AI….it is really irrelevant. It’s here, getting more powerful every second.
In 1-5 years AI will be smarter that all humans on earth combined.
Do not be a luddite.

Introducing Zachary Reisler .
Zach is 18 years old and a Senior in High School.
He is already a founder of around 10 businesses…..real revenue generating businesses.
He started a “drop ship” company at the ripe old age of 14.
He created TikTok video for his first company that went viral receiving over 14 million views and hundreds of thousands of comments.
He is a world traveler, digital marketer and overall great person.
He studies history on his own.
Zach talks about his plans after high school.
Zach does not have time for College.
He also explains why North Eastern Europe is a tech hub.
I took notes when he spoke.
I believe Zach’s path after High School is going to be the norm rather than an anomaly in the very near future. Reason being that attending a university does not guarantee a positive return on your investment.
I root for people like Zach.
Something tells me whether I am rooting for him or not…he is destined for success.

I tell Thom the story of one of my best friends who suddenly passed away this past summer.
I along with a few other friends were with him when it happened.
It was sudden. He was young, in a great shape. He had just had a physical and was told he was in great health.
He was successful. He was a patent attorney. He had an amazing family and….he was doing something he loved on a sunny August Saturday morning….wake surfing with his best friends.
We had a great morning until he felt something in chest.
We can all leave this life at any moment so choose what you do (and say) accordingly.
That goes for every aspect of your life both professionally and personally.
I mentioned a “calcium scan” test in this video that EVERYONE should schedule right now. My friend just had a physical and was given a clean bill of health.
If you get a clean health report…still take the calcium scan!

Thom and I were discussing how difficult work environments can be which led us to speaking about shows and movies that made fun of toxic office culture.
That led us to discuss the show “the office” and how Thom and I (in real life) worked with and were friends with John Krasinski before he became famous.

Do the digital marketing analytics you deliver to your customers lack veracity?
I work with many marketing agencies and lead gen firms.
I am constantly having to remind my customers that by default MergedAnalytics filters out the server clicks, bots, crawlers and basically all of the non human clicks that many other stacks including Google Analytics deliver.
“But Mailchimp is showing all of these opens and clicks on links in our email campaigns but I am not seeing that data reflected in #mergedanalytics ” they say to me.
To be honest this conversation can get very uncomfortable.
Marketing and Lead Gen Agencies do not want to believe all the work they are doing are not generating results.
No one wants to believe their analytics lack veracity.
As I say often….do not shoot the messenger. You could swallow the blue pill and believe your campaigns are doing amazing.
I would recommend however taking the Red pill and understand the truth.
By searching for the truth you will be that much closer to the path of marketing enlightenment.
